Sisterhood Series - Enrika Paton
Welcome to our second edition of our Sisterhood Series which celebrates the amazing community of women surrounding Sisters & Co.
We had the pleasure of speaking with Enrika Paton, a fabulous friend of Sisters & Co, and now a new neighbour to our HQ at her stunning homewares store, Amier Home, located in Mount Maunganui. Enrika’s new venture is a beautiful addition to the area, and we’re excited to see the unique charm and style she’s bringing to the local community.
Can you tell us a little about yourself and your beautiful new store, Amier Home, based in Mount Maunganui, and how it came to be?
My name is Enrika Paton, and I live in Mount Maunganui with my husband and two daughters. I’ve always been drawn to art, fashion, and interior design, so owning a furniture store and art gallery is a dream come true.
When we bought our first home in New Zealand after years of living in the UK, we found that finding the type of interior decor that matched our vision was easier said than done. We could no longer access the international design stores we knew and loved, which sparked an idea.
Amier Home was born in 2024 with the goal of inspiring you to surround yourself with beautiful, functional works of art that you’ll love coming home to.
You obviously have impeccable taste and a love for interiors and fashion. What is your personal interior style?
I'm excited by the sight of a beautiful and interesting piece of furniture or art, whether it's in a store or in someone's home. I appreciate all styles but gravitate towards interesting curves, unusual designs, and mid-century-inspired pieces. My goal is for our customers to discover their unique styles and find pieces that transform their houses into homes or create a restful retreat in their holiday beach pads.
We love your personal style! Do you have any go-to brands, and what are you currently coveting at Sisters & Co?
My background is in fashion design and fine arts, so I love to dress according to my personal style. I adore the latest Camilla and Marc pieces I’m wearing in this photoshoot, as well as Anine Bing accessories.
What makes your home, home for you?
The idea for Amier Home came about because I believe a home is so much more than just a place to live. When given the opportunity, your home can be an expression of your personality — a magnetic, creative space that’s so full of character it inspires you and deep human connection. That’s what makes a home, home for me.
Do you have a mantra you live by?
Mistakes are lessons that we grow from.
