The composition of WATA II's fabric is meticulously crafted from certified organic and rejuvenating cotton yarns sourced from Bergman Rivera, Peru. Meanwhile, the lining and laces are meticulously fashioned from 100% organic cotton originating from Brazil and Peru.
In the span of 2004 to 2022, VEJA has procured an approximate total of 1300 tons of organic cotton, sourced from both Brazil and Peru. These cotton sources are cultivated by associations that uphold the values of human well-being and environmental sustainability, in accordance with the principles of equitable trade.
Within Brazil, the cotton cultivation adheres to the standards of organic and agroecological practices, a form of agriculture that contributes to the enrichment of cultivated land through the promotion of crop diversity and optimal water retention within the soil. In Peru, producers of organic and regenerative cotton are accompanied on their journey towards certification, receiving essential technical and financial support aimed at enhancing their production practices.
