Last Friday, we were delighted to host Marle's new season launch in store and unveil our new concept area! We were joined by designer, Juliet Souter, and the Marle team for bubbles and exclusive look at the brand new collection.
What started off as a passion for beautifully made knits out of cashmere and merino has turned into a fashion brand with a cult following for the local brand.
Stocked exclusively in the Bay of Plenty at Sisters & Co, the label started in 2015 with a small collection of merinos, cashmere and linen tees. The brand has just launched their fourth autumn collection with a full fashion range including leather skirts, pants, amazing shirred tops and skirts and, of course, their namesake merino and cashmere jumpers.
Despite a hectic schedule juggling motherhood of two under five, Juliet’s designs are elegant and made with the best natural fibres and fabrics. They are essential pieces – ones that you thrash all season long. The collections are made up of linen, silk, cotton and cashmere in a colour range that emanates Juliet’s coastal surroundings and lifestyle – raw, earthy and natural.
Together with her husband, Justin (who helps drive the sales and distribution of their brand based in Mount Maunganui), Juliet also runs a fashion agency, The Market, which distributes brands such as Rains, Banks, Garment Project, Salt and Stone and Happy Socks.
The couple relocated to the Mount four years ago and Juliet said the move has being great for their family and business, "We love our life here in the Mount - the pace, the people and the beautiful landscape is so special, we feel lucky to call this incredible place our home. We love the community feel here."
Sisters & Co has just launched their Marle concept store within their space on Maunganui Road and the brand continues to go from strength to strength. Favourites of the Sister’s girls are the Pablo pants, the Lomas and Saint Skirt, the Ana and Dixon top and my personal favourite the Zadie Skirt.
