We dive into conversation with The Perfect Squeeze founder, Sarah Williams. In today's world, we all lead very busy lives and our time is valuable. With this in mind, Sarah set out to create the perfect beauty product tool that would save time by simplifying our day-to-day beauty and makeup routines.
What is your story behind The Perfect Squeeze?
After Mum’s skin cancer scare just before my 21st birthday and realising that less than 30% off people reapply their sunscreen (or wear it at all!) I knew I wanted to create something that was going to help so many people. So in 2018 after becoming a mum the idea came about and was researched, created and developed over a 3.5-year period. A one-of-a-kind Beauty Tool where you can mix and create your own ‘Skincare’ smoothies or take your BB Cream or even SPF with you for easy applications on the go- and she’s cute and compact too! First in the World- and she’s here to make a difference in our busy lives!
How do you incorporate The Perfect Squeeze into your everyday life?
I always have my Beauty Tool filled with my SPF50- this means I can touch it up when I'm out with the kids, at work or anywhere without having to carry a large bottle - or having to use my hands! It’s so great when you are out walking too as you don’t have to stop and apply you can just carry on!
I also have my Mini Beauty Tool filled with BB Cream so if any impromptu meetings or social occasions pop up I can freshen up quickly without having to take my full foundation bottle with me everywhere. I also mix in some moisturiser and foundation to make a sheer hydrated foundation look when I want one of those ‘no makeup ‘ days.
Also in the summertime, we do a lot of swimming with the kids and my skin gets super dry so I always have one filled with face moisturiser to pop on after our swim.
The kids love using it too and I love that it’s teaching them from a young age to use SPF. As you can see it’s very useful!
What are your favourite products to use with the Perfect Beauty Tool?
Apart from using my SPF50 (currently using Bondi Sands), I also love to make my own shimmer/highlight combo where I mix in my shimmer tan drops ( Drunk Elephant D Bronzi is a fav) with my face moisturiser.
Also love mixing my tanning drops and face moisturiser together- saves me time in the mornings having the products already pre-mixed also the amount of times I have forgotten to wash my hands after applying the tan drops ha! Great hacks for travel and busy mornings with the kids too.
Do you have any memorable moments while starting The Perfect Squeeze?
It's all been such an incredible journey so far- but one of the memorable moments was when after 3.5 years of design and prototypes- the truck came down our drive delivering the goods! My husband, kids & I were all eagerly waiting to unpack- then that afternoon I sent out all the pre-orders it was amazing. Also going viral on Tiktok a number of times and getting a lot of international orders is something I will never forget- when people believe in you and your product so much they even buy multiples it's definitely a ‘pinch me’ moment. Also getting big retailers- including Sisters & Co reach out and want to stock your product is pretty surreal!
Where do you see The Perfect Squeeze in 5 years' time?
Helping more and more people with the ease of their product applications & encouraging more people to reapply their SPF even when they’re wearing makeup! I also aim to be stocked in some big retailers!
